Privacy policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Cook Up Delights (“we”, “us”, “our”, accessible at cookupdelights.com) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. This site is owned and operated from France, and we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us:

  • Contact form: when you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you provide, so we can reply to you.
  • Newsletter (optional): if you choose to subscribe to updates, we collect your email address through our email service provider (Mailchimp) to send you new recipes and news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting and security providers automatically log some technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes. We do not use this to identify you personally.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any advertising tracking on this site.

How we use your information

  • To respond to the messages you send us through the contact form.
  • To send you our newsletter, only if you subscribed to it.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work correctly (for example, to remember your preferences). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

Third-party services we use

To run this website, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

  • Hostinger – our web hosting provider.
  • Cloudflare – provides security and performance services for the site.
  • Mailchimp – manages our optional email newsletter, for subscribers only.

Advertising

This website does not currently display advertising. We may introduce Google Ads in the future to support the site; if we do, this policy will be updated beforehand to explain what cookies and data Google uses for that purpose, and you will always be able to control ad personalization through your Google account settings.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact form messages only as long as needed to answer your question, and newsletter email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Contact us” below).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to ask for a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, simply contact us using the email address below.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always show when it was last revised.
